Community Living Supports (CLS) 2026

Applications for the Community Living Supports (CLS) Open Grant Opportunity are open from 22 August 2025 to 17 October 2025.

Successful Applicants will be notified of the outcome by 31 March 2026 and will enter into contracts for an initial period of 5 years from 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2031.

An online Applicant Briefing session for organisations interested in applying will be held via MS Teams at the following time:

•  Monday 1 September 2025 at 10am to 12pm

The briefing session is not mandatory i.e. applicants do not need to attend to apply for grant funding.

Any potential applicant that would like to attend is to email the cls2026@procuregroup.com.au with details of attendees at least 24 hours prior to the briefing session. Those attendees will then be provided the MS Teams link to attend.

The briefing session will not be recorded, however the presentation slides will be provided through an addendum following the briefing session.

Incomplete, non-compliant, or corrupted applications may be deemed ineligible for assessment at the sole discretion of the Ministry.

Please note that Applicants are required to monitor the Smarty Grants website following the submission of their grant application through to the application closing date. Should an addendum be published, the Applicant is required to review the addendum to determine whether their application needs to be updated.

The total funding for CLS in NSW is $86.5 million (excl. GST and indexation) for CLS year 1. Individual grant amounts vary by local health district and region. Further details can be found in the Grant Guidelines and attachments. 

Over the initial five-year term, the estimated total funding (excluding indexation) is $432.7 million (excl GST).

The Applicant acknowledges and agrees that:

• submission of this application does not guarantee funding will be granted for any project, and the NSW Ministry of Health expressly reserves its right to accept or reject this application at its discretion;
• it must bear the costs of preparing and submitting this application and the NSW Ministry of Health does not accept any liability for such costs, whether or not this application is ultimately accepted or rejected; and
• it has read the Grant Guidelines for the Program and has fully informed itself of the relevant program requirements.

By submitting this application form, the Applicant acknowledges and agrees that:

• if this project application is successful, the relevant details of the project will be made public, including details such as the names of the organisation (Applicant) and any partnering organisation (state government agency or non-government organisation), project title, project description, location, anticipated time for completion and amount awarded;
• the NSW Ministry of Health will use reasonable endeavours to ensure that any information received in or in respect of this application which is clearly marked ‘Commercial-in-confidence’ or ‘Confidential’ is treated as confidential, however, such documents will remain subject to the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (NSW) (GIPA Act); and
• in some circumstances the NSW Ministry of Health may release information contained in this application form and other relevant information in relation to this application in response to a request lodged under the GIPA Act or otherwise as required or permitted by law.
